Hotel Sinclair
Built around 1890
Now owned by Andrew
and Jeanne Buchanan
When Edmund Sinclair built the hotel, it was to
service the oncoming tourists that came by way of the Burlington and Lamoille
Railway. Today Hotel Sinclair is still functioning as the bed and breakfast,
Sinclair Inn. Sinclair built the hotel so that it looked like a castle, with
many turrets and towers. It also is covered with what looks like an endless
expanse of stained glass or sparkling crystal windows. Sinclair built the hotel
with his own equipment run by a windmill in the back. If there was no wind,
Sinclair also had a bicycle set up so that it could run the equipment by man
power. Hotel Sinclair was eventually sold and turned into a convalescent home in
1952, and then was made into a private dwelling in 1974. Between 1988 and 1989,
the former hotel was sold to its present owners and was made into a bed and
breakfast.

Calvary Episcopal Church (Jericho)
Built around 1857
Still owned by the Episcopal Congregation
After being built,
this building operated for a number of years till it became abandoned, It stayed
abandoned from 1897 till 1927, when it was restored. In 1928 a new belfry was
erected and twenty-two years later, in 1950, a bell was installed. Nine years
after that, in 1959, Eric Schuppin donated a new belfry cross. The next year, a
Pueblo Indian named Valencia donated a handmade alter cross. Also the builder of
the Hotel Sinclair had a part in the renovations of Calvary Episcopal, he along
with Father Ross built the altar.
